What are ‘new normal’ in real estate in your opinion?
Wollongong is close to Sydney and the third largest city in New South Wales. Covid-19 has encouraged flexible working arrangements and Wollongong, with natural forests and good beaches where employment is concentrated in heavy industry, education and health sectors, with many residents commuting to Sydney for employment, particularly the northern suburbs, is likely to see a shift with households moving to Wollongong for a better lifestyle and the more flexible employment arrangements.
How should we adjust ourselves in real estate business?
The traditional view of the local land market, with a focus on local employment in the south and commuting in the north, will change as more Sydney residents move to the city for the better lifestyle. The challenge will be catering to increased density without impacting on the quality of life.
