Your suggestion on foreigners’ buying properties in your city.
Answer:
Foreign direct investment in industrial development can be beneficial. However, foreign investment in residential property should be strongly discouraged, taxed heavily or banned. It generates inflation in local markets that reduces access to housing for local residents and creates a ripple effect into the private rental market, forcing up rents. This is not development; it is exploitation and the basis for corruption.
